on this pale Wintery eve,
appreciation for the landmarks of history that dot the borough of Manhattan {& loving that here there are townships & boroughs}
~ the Manhattan bridge, with all its delicate strength {it's arch & colonnade, the many sculptures surrounding it}
~ the Flatiron building {world's tallest triangle?}
~ clocks & scrolls & generally remarkable architecture {historical workmanship}
& then, lace & stitches in a journal by lamplight
