~ Autumn longing

encountering Autumn in all her golden glory, the sun shining on New York's facade at dusk, pink- streaking across the sky in the Laundromat carpark, spying waterholes through crimson foliage, leaves under our feet, - leaves that sweep the wind like ostrich plumes on hats, & journals, always :)

~ the Old World!

I was talking to a new friend the other day, saying how much I love all the stonework & carvings everywhere here, & she said, "you're in the Old World now!"

one day I will try & go on a photo finding outing, these are more snapshots of life as i'm living them, what I love is driving around & seeing lights on in windows way up high, glimpsing chandeliers behind open curtains & people happily being apart of this great city

these beautiful old buildings! about 400 feet up in the air there is a beautiful 3 story stone bay window jutting out, balancing, from this building, it was amazing! although you could barely see it from the street, & I couldn't even get it in the frame!.. .I pointed upwards & said to Mum, can I live there :)

even on Wall St prayer has found a place! there are plaques & statues everywhere!

sending a little sparkle!

New York is amazing! Life here is audible, bustling along as you would imagine...taxis honking, people jaywalking, smoke rising into the streets from the subways hurtling along below, every nook & cranny of vertical & horizontal space has been filled in some ingenius way with something of need, something denoting life.. . Large shops, small shops, little pizza places nestled in alleyways, it's a palpable hive of activity, people everywhere going about the business of living & organizing their moments each day

.. .tonight I stood at the banks of the Hudson, & the beauty was of awe-inspiring proportion.. .

today I saw two school girls in the middle of an unhealthy looking neighbourhood befriend each other, & Shine! & I thought, Goodness is of the most relevant goal to achieve each day, Kindness~helping one another, they are the loveliest things of all!
