Christmas is, at its best & dearest{though not always possible, but hoped for even so!}
the promise of snow,
the softness of ribbons,
the elegance of a well deserved bow,
the crumple of paper as its torn from the gift,
the decorated tree ~ twinkling like a living sculpture, like a dear companion & ever watchful guardian
that soft glow of fairy lights,
a floor covered in brightly colored remnants of surprise,
the smile of excitement illuminating the face of a dear one,
the colors of saffron & sage
the chatter,
the giddy anticipation,
passing gifts with fervent expression from one heart to another,
& a kitchen, brimming with the hope of a warm, indulging meal,
a table set with eagerness,
reflecting on the original presents of gold, frankincense & myrrh, &
the Devotion of The Son of God, to our own Eternal Welfare
then, at days end, our floors, tables, homes & hearts are littered with a sparkle of memories ~ effused through the airways like those cheery Christmas songs
& our innate understanding, that Christmas is, at its heart,
blending the alchemy of Eternal Possibility, with
that Great Treasure of Divine Love
