{by lamplight} *

" 'Twas the best of times, 'twas the worst of times,
'twas the age of wisdom, 'twas the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going directly to Heaven, we were all going the other way."
sometimes lately life feels a little like this Dickens prose,
thoroughly, achingly, perpetually exhaustive ~ & yet
there are mornings of white peaches
there is yellow tailed snapper for tea,
there is {as we speak!}, a windowpane dotted & streaked with golden raindrops, glowing from the light of the lamppost below
life lingers still
{& seasons of growth}
sending hearts & cherished seedlings,
au 'voir

{this gentle moment founded through pics found on pinterest}
