This is the time of year when our home becomes,

part superhero training facility,

part glitter festival,

part indoor greenhouse {equipped with botany & specimens of many kinds.. .norfolk pine, acorns, pinecones, wreaths, garlands, rosemary, sage etc}

part DIY specialists,

part craft enthusiasts,

part ode to that prolifically relevant & oft understood quote "Necessity is the mother of invention",

part home-hummed Christmas carols {not necessarily played en mass through the airwaves, just quietly hummed while going about the day dreaming up Christmas surprises},

part whispers & scampers of presents hoped for, & scurrying about acquiring such, like little mice planning an exuberant party {& this part being heavily influenced by our love for Brambley Hedge},

part, that glow that comes from the warmth of giving.. .

Such marvel & wonder for a season that beckons so endearingly, tangibly, effortlessly & believably.. .
