i found the 3rd image while flipping through this beautiful book in the shops & i was smitten, i searched high & low & finally found that it came from an image of anne fontaine's new york space,

 so absolutely lovely!!!

& days smudged with the loveliest of things!!! {our days have been felted shoes, dried roses in the shape of Christmas trees, floral stickers, & moments with our cat - tucking himself into bed - folding his arms - & dreaming softly}

{&} a passage from a book:

2 of the peonies didn't even open before they began to wilt, but even then, they reminded me of tissue paper & hearts, floating on a sea of glass

precious tides {& aubusson rugs!} !

~ i borrowed her a daydream & envisioned her a song

a night filled with Christmas hearts, & the golden splendour of the Season!

stars, suspended in the nightshine, & loveliness for you, always!!!

~ the peonies have arrived!

seeming like a glimpse of something longed for, a breath of hope!

& evenings filled with paintings.. .no great materpieces, just thought-jottings.. .
while pondering how to paint the wisps of things {roses on silk, chalk on fabric? these are my thoughts today}
